yes the latest version which you can download here http://www.ag-software.de/download-directory/ supports X-MESSENGER-OAUTH2. But this does not help. Microsoft requires TLS for the XMPP connection and there is no TLS support win WP7 for sockets yet.

Does the windows phone mango versions support the X-MESSENGER-OAUTH2?, I see that they were last updated in May and April (before this update).

All Microsoft examples use the webbrowser.
A browser is only a GUI with webrequests under the hood. So it must be possible with only webrequests as well, but I have no examples for this.

This tool works on Windows only because its using Windows API for the SRV lookups. There is no SRV support in the .NET platform,

I tried running this under mono-2.10.5. The GUI came up fine and I was able to type my domainname into the textbox, but nothing happened when I clicked “Lookup”.

In debugging it, I saw that SrvTester was, I think, trying to dlopen() the “libdnsapi” library. Doesn’t the .net platform have enough built-in DNS support to render this portability-breaking operation unnecessary (or does it actually not)?

Is it possible to login to Windows Live Messenger (retrieve your access token?) without using webbrowser component?

As i understand, all flows require usage of some webbrowser to let user input his password on the website, but not in program. Am i right?

This depends on your requirements. We cannot overcome the restrictions of Mango in the library.

Mango still cannot have sockets open in the background. so is this library helpful?
